Year-Round Work
Fence demand does not stop in winter. We install through late fall and start early spring. Repair and staining keep the schedule full between major install seasons. You stay busy year-round.
CAREERS
Good Crews Build Good Fences. Here's What We Offer. Year-round work, weekly pay, real equipment, and every fence type — wood, vinyl, chain link, ornamental iron, aluminum, plus gates and in-house staining.
BUILT FOR EVERY STORM.
WHY RKC
This is a real operation, not a temp staffing situation. Josh Rangel founded RKC in 2021 and still leads the work. We run a full-time crew based in Olathe, KS, serving the entire Kansas City metro — residential and commercial, every fence and gate type, plus in-house staining and sealing. Here's what that means for the people on payroll.
Fence demand does not stop in winter. We install through late fall and start early spring. Repair and staining keep the schedule full between major install seasons. You stay busy year-round.
You work with a crew, not alone in a customer's yard. We staff installs with enough people to finish efficiently and safely — not one-person operations with a rented post hole digger.
Pay matches experience and skill. We compensate based on what you bring to the job — years in the trade, leadership ability, material expertise. Weekly pay cycle, no 30-day waits.
You will not get bored installing the same fence every day. RKC installs wood, vinyl, chain link, ornamental iron, aluminum, pool fencing, and commercial security — plus gates, automatic openers, and in-house staining. Different materials, different techniques, different job sites every week.
Real tools and real trucks. Hydraulic post hole augers, commercial-grade compaction equipment, welding rigs for ornamental work. You show up and the equipment is there — you do not have to supply your own.
One local contractor, not a franchise. Josh walks jobs, answers the phone, and signs paychecks. Installers who show leadership, material knowledge, and reliability move into crew lead roles. Decisions are made in Olathe, not a corporate HQ in another state.
OPEN POSITIONS
We are actively hiring for these roles. If you have fence installation experience — or construction, landscaping, roofing, or concrete experience and a willingness to learn — scroll down to apply.
Set posts, hang panels, mount hardware, and install gates across the Kansas City metro. You work with a full crew on residential and commercial jobs — wood, vinyl, chain link, and ornamental iron. Experience with post hole augers, concrete mixing, and level-plumb-square layout preferred. We train the right people.

Run a fence installation crew from layout to walkthrough. You manage material staging, crew assignments, and on-site quality checks. Must have 3+ years of fence installation experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read site plans and permit documents. Leadership experience on construction crews required.

Prep, pressure wash, and apply semi-transparent penetrating stain and UV protective sealant to residential and commercial fences. Must be comfortable with airless sprayers and the spray-and-back-brush technique. Attention to detail matters — we keep overspray off siding, driveways, and landscaping. Spring through fall is peak season.
Apply for this role →WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Construction experience matters, but attitude matters more. We can teach someone how to set a post 36 inches deep in poured concrete with a bell-bottom footing. We cannot teach someone to show up on time, communicate with homeowners respectfully, and take pride in a straight fence line.
Physical fitness matters. Fence work means lifting 60-lb bags of concrete, operating post hole augers in Wymore-Grundy clay, and working outdoors through Kansas City summers and shoulder-season cold. If you have done construction, roofing, landscaping, or concrete work, you know what the days look like.
A valid driver's license helps. Crew leads need one. Installers with a license and a clean driving record have more flexibility on which crew and which job sites they are assigned to.
We do not require fence-specific experience for installer roles. If you have worked in construction and are willing to learn the trade — materials, post depth standards, hardware selection, gate alignment — we will train you. What we need is someone who shows up, works hard, and gets better every week.
