We removed the entire old fence, pulled the rotted posts and old concrete footings, graded the fence line, and installed 190 linear feet of 6-foot cedar privacy fence with new green pressure-treated posts set to 36 inches in fresh concrete. The new design uses a top cap board to give the fence a clean finished edge. Dark-painted fence posts visible on the neighbor's side create a deliberate contrast with the cedar boards.

The Lenexa homeowner's existing cedar fence was 15 years old and had been losing posts since the last winter — the right call was full replacement rather than patching an installation that was past its service life. When repair doesn't make sense
